Plant Processing

Licence for fish processing plants and value-add facilities.

Annual + quarterly inspections

Processing plants โ€” filleting, drying, smoking, canning, or meal production โ€” must meet hygiene, waste disposal, and worker safety standards before operating.

Eligibility

Registered company; fixed processing facility with potable water and waste management; HACCP or equivalent food safety plan (recommended).

Requirements

  • Submit plant layout and equipment list
  • Pass hygiene and structural inspection
  • Install hand-washing and pest-control measures
  • Register all product lines with MOFMR
  • Pay plant licence fee
  • Receive operating licence and inspection schedule

Business registration and land/building proof
Floor plan and equipment inventory
Water quality test report
Waste disposal arrangement letter
Staff health certificates (food handlers)
Fire safety clearance (where required)
