Processing plants — filleting, drying, smoking, canning, or meal production — must meet hygiene, waste disposal, and worker safety standards before operating.
Eligibility
Registered company; fixed processing facility with potable water and waste management; HACCP or equivalent food safety plan (recommended).
Requirements
- Submit plant layout and equipment list
- Pass hygiene and structural inspection
- Install hand-washing and pest-control measures
- Register all product lines with MOFMR
- Pay plant licence fee
- Receive operating licence and inspection schedule
