Cooperatives organize fishers, processors, and traders for joint marketing, credit, and representation. MOFMR registers cooperatives that meet governance and membership rules.
Eligibility
Minimum 15 founding members; elected board and written bylaws; clear fisheries-related purpose; bank account in cooperative name.
Requirements
- Submit cooperative bylaws and member register
- Hold founding assembly with signed minutes
- Elect board and assign signatories
- Open cooperative bank account
- Pay registration fee
- Receive cooperative registration certificate
