Our Mandate

The Ministry strengthens the fisheries sector in Puntland by developing strategic policies, promoting sustainable and legal fishing practices, and attracting responsible investment. It provides extension and training for fishers, supports landing infrastructure and cold-chain development, monitors stocks and compliance, and coordinates with partners to improve productivity, safety, and incomes in coastal communities.
